Imagine MyPath® Students in Grades 2–6
Outperform Peers on the NWEA MAP
Growth Reading and Math Assessments
OVERVIEW
During the 2021–2022 academic year, North Rockland
Central School District in New York implemented
Imagine MyPath as a supplemental resource for
reading and math for Grades 2–6 students. On average,
students used Imagine MyPath Reading for 7 hours and
passed 45 lessons. In Imagine MyPath Math, students
used the program for an average of 7 hours and passed
42 lessons. To measure the impact of Imagine MyPath
on student reading achievement, Imagine Learning
compared NWEA MAP Growth Reading data of 882
Imagine MyPath students to 882 highly similar nonuser
students*. For math, the NWEA MAP Growth Math data
of 841 Imagine MyPath students was compared to 841
highly similar nonuser students*.
RESULTS
From Fall 2021 to Spring 2022, Imagine MyPath students exhibited significantly greater gains on the NWEA MAP
Growth Reading test than nonusers (Figure 1). Additionally, 52% of Imagine MyPath users met expected growth
on NWEA MAP Growth Reading compared to 44% of nonusers. When examining performance on the NWEA
MAP Growth Math test, similar trends emerged. Imagine MyPath students demonstrated significantly greater
growth than their peers (Figure 2). Furthermore, 63% of Imagine MyPath users exceeded expected growth on
NWEA MAP Growth Math compared to 56% of non-users. Importantly, these results were found even when
program usage was below recommended levels (i.e., <18 hours per subject); it is expected that students would
demonstrate even stronger gains with higher usage.
