Identify administrators’ perceptions of current benefits and advantages of GenAI
to educators and learners
Identify the greatest concerns and risks of using GenAI for K–12 students,
administrators, and teachers
Investigate the job functions that can be supported with AI tools
Identify expectations/priorities for AI features within instructional products

learning (39%) and saving teachers time with lesson creation
(38%); with 50% believing that using AI to create lessons or
instructional materials would benefit teachers most.
Concerns:
Administrators worry GenAI will exacerbate academic dishonesty (53%) and diminish students’
critical thinking abilities (44%).
Policy:
48% of administrators report their districts allow teachers/staff to use GenAI, and 25% allow
students to use GenAI.
District Action:
35% of administrators indicate their districts have provided training for GenAI.
Risk Mitigation:
42% of respondents indicate that their districts have not taken specific actions (from the
choices offered) to mitigate risks associated with using GenAI.
EdTech Support:
Administrators are looking to EdTech for training and best practices (54%) and identifying
GenAI content (44%).
Future Actions:
In the future, districts plan to address GenAI use through policy (47%) and training (40%).
